Looks like Michael Mann is finally moving ahead with his re-make of Miami Vice for the big screen.... with Jamie Fox and Colin Farrell.

I don't think those choices are too bad. I'd prefer Denzel Washington over Foxx, but I think Foxx will do fine (have you seen Collateral and/or heard the Oscar buzz for Ray?). Farrell is not as strong a choice, but who's a better option.... that would actually take the part? [img]wink.gif[/img]

Hell, I actually liked that show (first few seasons anyway) I wish they'd just let it lie.
Johnson and Thomas were good in their roles, I
find it hard to find myself wanting to see anyone else playing the parts.
I guess they're going to try to do what they did with 'Starsky and Hutch'?

Well if you liked the show, it is Michael Mann doing it so if anyone can make the film decent it would be him. And I don't actually thing S&H had anything to do with it. My understanding is that he's been lining this up for several years.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well if you read the article he isn't so much resurrecting as remaking. Apart from the fact it is 2 Vice cops in Miami it doesn't sound like he's trying to make the same show (only bigger).

I'm looking forward to it. Michael Mann hasn't made a bad film IMO, and in fact has done some of my favorite films/shows (Heat, Robbery Homicide Division, Crime Story, Manhunter).
